Immigration Equality Legal Aid, Inc. (IELA) is a nonprofit organization founded to support individuals with limited financial resources who are navigating the U.S. immigration system. We aim to promote equality, fairness, and access to justice for all, particularly for marginalized communities facing immigration issues.

Our mission is to offer unwavering support to those facing challenges with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) or the immigration court system. We strive to ensure equitable access to justice, advocate for the rights of marginalized communities, and empower individuals to pursue their legal immigration goals with dignity and respect. Through our dedicated team of legal professionals and strategic advocacy efforts, we aim to uphold the principles of fairness, compassion, and inclusivity within the immigration process.

Immigration Equality Legal Aid, Inc. (IELA) provides legal representation and immigration services to individuals with limited financial resources. We are committed to upholding fairness, justice, and equality through charitable, educational, and advocacy efforts. Our organization operates exclusively under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Meet The Founder

Viktor A. De Maio, Esq.

As a naturalized American citizen, I know firsthand the challenges of immigrating to the United States. Born in Turin, Italy, and educated in Hungary, I moved to the U.S. with a deep desire to follow my dreams. I earned my Juris Doctor (JD) and Master of Laws (LL.M) in International and Transnational Law from the University of Miami, School of Law.

I bring extensive experience, multilingual proficiency (English, Spanish, Hungarian, Italian), and a commitment to helping immigrants navigate the U.S. legal system. As an attorney, I am admitted to practice in Florida State Courts and U.S. Immigration Courts nationwide. My passion is to guide clients toward success in their immigration journey, combining expertise with compassion.
